Corn Pest & Disease Programs — Biological Inputs That Fit Your Spray Window

Natural program for corn — caterpillar and borer pressure above ground, rust and leaf blight through canopy close, and the stalk strength to stand until harvest.

Growing corn with Vegalab

Corn carries three kinds of pressure in the same season. Caterpillars — armyworm and cutworm early, earworm at silking — feed on whorl, ear and kernel. Stem borers tunnel the stalk and set up lodging later. And from canopy close onward, rust and the leaf spot and blight complex strip photosynthetic area at exactly the point in grain fill when the plant can least afford it.

Vegalab's Larva Control is a plant-extracted broad-spectrum larvicide for the caterpillar and borer complex, and Spore Control covers rust and the foliar blights. Rigid Boost supports stalk and internode strength through the tall-plant phase, and Nitrogen Pro carries the nitrogen load that corn demands from V6 onward. Both control products carry zero pre-harvest interval and zero re-entry, so late-season applications are not constrained by harvest timing. Rates follow the registered label.

Frequently asked questions

What controls armyworm and corn borer naturally?

Larva Control is a plant-extracted broad-spectrum larvicide based on oxymatrine, applied foliar against the caterpillar and borer complex in corn with zero pre-harvest interval and zero re-entry.

Can Vegalab help with corn rust and leaf blight?

Yes — Spore Control is a thyme-oil fungicide applied preventatively ahead of favourable conditions for common and southern rust and the northern leaf blight complex.

Will this fit an existing corn program?

Yes. Vegalab inputs are designed to rotate into a conventional or IPM program rather than replace it wholesale. Contact Vegalab for a corn-specific recommendation, rates and local distributor information.
