NanoVeil multi-layer encapsulation
NanoVeil is Vegalab's multi-layer nano-encapsulation platform. Active ingredients are wrapped in protective layers that shield them from oxidation and release them gradually at the skin surface and upper layers - so high concentrations can be delivered comfortably, without the irritation that often comes with potent actives applied directly.

Most serums leave their actives exposed to air and light, where they degrade - and deposit them only on the skin surface. Potent actives applied directly can also irritate.

NanoVeil wraps each active in protective layers, shielding it until it is released gradually at the skin surface and upper layers. High concentrations can be delivered comfortably, supporting visible results without the sting.

NanoVeil builds a multi-layer biopolymer shell around an active - up to 20 programmable layers - so the active is held stable until defined conditions release it. A free active on the skin surface is exposed to air, light and water from the moment it is applied; an encapsulated one is not, which is why the same ingredient can behave differently in two formulas.
Two things follow from that, and they are the reason the platform exists. The first is stability: actives that oxidise or degrade quickly in an open formula stay intact for longer inside the shell. The second is gradual, on-demand release at the skin surface and the upper layers, which allows a higher concentration of active to be delivered without the surface irritation that concentration usually brings.
The platform is what connects the range. The same encapsulation carries hyaluronic acid at two molecular weights in Hyaluronic Skin Repair, the silk-protein and NAD+ complex in Age Repair, and the peptide complex in the NanoDensity hair range · which is why the NanoSerums, the ampoules and the ProSerums are formats of one system rather than separate product lines.
