Request a Partnership Call

One call is usually enough to establish whether a delivery program is worth scoping. Send four things in advance and the call can go straight to the technical question rather than to introductions.

What to send

First, the payload: name or structure, molecular weight, logP, known degradation routes, and current route of administration. Second, the target route and format you want. Third, the target market and the product classification you intend, meaning supplement, natural health product, cosmetic, veterinary or medicine. Fourth, expected volumes and timeline. A one-page summary is enough. If the payload is confidential, send the property profile without the identity and we will work from that until a confidentiality agreement is in place.

What happens on the call

We state which barrier decides the outcome for your payload and route, whether encapsulation addresses it, and what a stage one assessment would cost and produce. Where the answer is that the limiting factor is outside a carrier's reach, we say so on the call rather than selling a study. If the project falls into a category we decline, we will say that too, and the stewardship page sets those out in advance.

Confidentiality and intellectual property

We sign mutual confidentiality agreements before receiving proprietary payload information, and we can work from a redacted property profile beforehand. Background intellectual property stays with its owner. The encapsulation platform architecture remains Vegalab's and is patent pending. Payload-specific formulation results generated under a development agreement belong to the partner as set out in that agreement, and we do not use a partner's payload or data in another program. Improvements made to the platform itself remain ours, and improvements specific to a partner's payload are handled in the development agreement. Both points are settled in writing before laboratory work begins.

Who you will speak to

Life Sciences inquiries go to the formulation and business development team at Vegalab SA in Zug, Switzerland, with technical staff on the call from the start. Distributor and clinic inquiries are routed separately, and licensing discussions involving territory or category rights include commercial leadership. Expect a short call, a written summary afterwards, and a stage one scope if the project is worth pursuing. If it is not, you will have the reason in writing, which is often as useful as the program itself.

Key facts

  • Vegalab SA is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland (Vegalab SA corporate registration)
  • Manufacture is under GMP conditions in Korea (Vegalab SA company disclosure)
  • The multi-layer encapsulation architecture is patent pending (Vegalab SA company disclosure)
  • Product classification determines the evidence and labeling requirements before formulation begins (21 CFR 101.93; SOR/2003-196; Regulation (EC) 1924/2006)

How our delivery technology applies

The first call is a barrier diagnosis. Solubility, gastric degradation, protease exposure, oxidation, permeability and half-life each point to a different layer assignment, and only some of them are addressable by a carrier at all. Naming the barrier before quoting a program is what keeps feasibility work short and honest.
