What this index is
Every statement Vegalab makes about a Beauty Science product has an entry in a claim register: the exact wording, the evidence behind it, its evidence level and a review date. This index, part of Vegalab Beauty Science, is where those entries become public. It tells you what stands behind each sentence, and what that evidence can and cannot be used to say.
Four levels of evidence
Each source is graded on one scale, set out in full on evidence levels, A to D.

One rule governs the scale: a finished-product claim rests on finished-product evidence. The methods behind levels B and C are described on how we test.
How to use the index
Filter by formula, claim type and evidence level. Every claim opens to the evidence it rests on and the level that evidence carries.
Formula dossiers
One dossier per NanoSerum formula. Each lists the registered claims for that formula and the composition behind them.
- Hyaluronic Skin Repair. The full ingredient declaration, the registered free-from set, and the sealed ampoule format.
- Hydrating. The full ingredient declaration and the humectant system that carries the formula.
- Brightening. The full ingredient declaration, the acid system and the sun statement that goes with it.
- Clarifying. The full ingredient declaration and the exfoliating and botanical ingredients in it.
- Age Repair. The full ingredient declaration and what the formula is built on.
- Sculpting. The sealed ampoule format and its pack facts.
- Scalp Repair. The full ingredient declaration and its declared allergens.
The format facts in each dossier, such as how the sealed ampoule is closed and dispensed, rest on Vegalab records. The composition facts rest on the ingredient certificate for that formula. The encapsulation platform common to all seven is explained on how encapsulation works.
Published research
Published research on our ingredients gives short explanations of peer-reviewed studies on ingredients Vegalab uses, each linked to its public source. The studies describe the ingredients, not Vegalab products. The lot-level safety tests are set out on the testing program.

What we say, and how a claim is added, reviewed, corrected or withdrawn, is set out in the science and claims charter.
Frequently asked questions
What does the claim ID next to a sentence mean?
It is the sentence's entry in our claim register. The entry records the exact approved wording, the evidence behind it, its level, and the date it must be reviewed again. A sentence with no register entry does not publish.
What does an ingredient study show?
A study on an ingredient describes the ingredient itself and explains why it is in a formula. Statements about what a formula does on skin rest on testing of the finished product.
Who pays for the studies listed here?
Every study page names its sponsor. Where Vegalab commissioned or paid for a study, the page says so.
