Mode of action, honest limits, safety and the published evidence for each active in the Vegalab crop range.
This section explains the actives in the Vegalab crop range: what each one is, how it works, what it does not do, and what the published research supports. It is reference material, not sales copy — several pages exist mainly to rule out uses that do not work.
Product pages tell you what to buy and at what rate. These pages tell you why the active behaves the way it does, which is what you need when a program underperforms, when you are deciding between two materials, or when you have to explain a choice to a certifier or an auditor.
Every claim here is attributed. Where a finding comes from an independent study we say so; where it comes from industry-funded work we say that too, and where we could not find a primary source we say that rather than citing a supplier page. Study type and scale are labelled next to each reference so you can weigh the evidence without clicking through.
Safety is treated as a first-class section rather than a disclaimer. Some of these materials are toxic to cats, harmful to fish at low concentrations, or irritant in concentrate, and plant origin does not change any of that. The Safety & Stewardship pages use the same three-state vocabulary as the compound pages so the terms mean one thing across the site.

Pollinators, pets, aquatic life, applicators, edible crops, reading a label and what the certifications mean.
Claims that circulate widely, each with a verdict and the evidence behind it.
Every page in this section states what the evidence shows, what it does not show, and who funded it. Our editorial standards explain how that is decided.
