For Pest Management Professionals

Vegalab works with pest management professionals to develop and field test encapsulated botanical treatments for ticks, ants, cockroaches, mites and flies. PMPs get early access to trial products, technical data and a direct line to our formulation team; we get real-world field data from the sites that matter.

Programs in development

Tick Control applies a tick-specific geraniol load in a multi-layer shell designed for extended residual in questing zones. The crawling insect concentrate builds on our field experience that Spider Mite Control at higher concentrations controls ants and cockroaches; geraniol is already a minimum-risk active in products labeled for these pests. Both are development programs with defined trial and label-amendment steps, not products you can apply commercially today. Participating PMPs help shape the label directions.

What participation looks like

We supply trial material, protocols and data sheets. You run side-by-side plots or accounts under an agreed design, typically encapsulated versus neat active and an untreated check, with counts at set intervals. Trials run under the applicable experimental use rules in your state. We share pooled results with all participants and credit partner data in any publication. Your accounts are not named without consent. Protocols include the untreated check and neat-active comparison needed to show what encapsulation adds, so results carry weight with regulators.

What you can use now

Vetpure Disinfectant supports sanitation work in animal facilities within its registered claims. Vetpure Miticide covers housing and premise mite treatment. Cross-listed crop products such as Spider Mite Control carry crop labels only; premise and structural use requires label amendment and state acceptance and is in development. We will not supply off-label rates. Your distributor or our team can confirm which products are registered or accepted in your state before you commit to a program. Our technical team supports site assessment for mite and sanitation work.

Geraniol is a permitted active for minimum-risk pesticides (40 CFR 152.25(f)(1)).
Emulsified nootkatone was largely lost from treated sites within a week, while an encapsulated formulation extended field control of Ixodes scapularis nymphs to weeks (Bharadwaj et al. 2012, J Med Entomol 49:1035).
Pesticide use inconsistent with its labeling is unlawful (FIFRA sec. 12(a)(2)(G), 7 U.S.C. 136j).
Experimental use of unregistered pesticides may require an experimental use permit depending on scale (40 CFR part 172).

How our delivery technology applies

For a PMP, residual is revenue: a treatment that holds for weeks rather than days changes service intervals and callback rates. Multi-layer encapsulation targets that directly by slowing evaporation and holding the active at the treated surface. Our trials measure it on your accounts against neat active at day 1, 7, 14 and 28.
