The sealed vial format
In brief
The NanoSerum vial set is ten sealed 5 ml glass vials, each closed with a butyl stopper under a 20 mm aluminum crimp and a flip-off cap. The vials and stoppers are sterilized before filling. Each vial is filled and sealed immediately, and the serum is a preserved cosmetic formulation. Each dose is drawn through the stopper, so the vial is drawn from rather than opened. What is in the box
Ten sealed 5 ml vials. Each vial holds three full applications, so a box of ten covers thirty. Every carton carries its expiry date and lot number. Manufactured in conformity with ISO 22716 cosmetic GMP guidelines.
The closure
The closure has three parts.

Flipping off the cap exposes a small circle of the stopper. The aluminum ring stays crimped and the stopper stays in place.
Using the vial
- Flip off the cap. Leave the ring and stopper in place.
- Draw the dose through the stopper with a syringe. The stopper reseals as the syringe is withdrawn.
- Dispense the dose into a fresh dish or onto a gloved hand for application. Never dip into the vial.
- Never return product or an applicator to the vial.
- After the first draw, refrigerate and use within 28 days.
Because the stopper reseals, the contents are never exposed to air across all three applications. If the stopper is removed, the vial becomes an open container and should be used or discarded at that treatment.

Why the format matters
A fresh portion for every client. Each application is drawn from sealed contents. Nothing touches the serum that remains in the vial.
Less for the preservative to do. The serum in the vial is not opened to air and is never touched, so the preservative system is not asked to cope with repeated contact in use. How the format and the preservative system work together is on Preservation and format.
Protection for the active. Air is one of the main causes of active breakdown in a serum. The sealed vial keeps the formula away from it, and the NanoVeil shell protects the active within the formula. See Stability and protection.
