Coffee Pest & Disease Programs - Biological Inputs That Fit Your Spray Window
Rust and nematode program for coffee. Spore Control targets coffee rust (Hemileia vastatrix) and fungal leaf disease, Nematode Control manages root-knot and parasitic nematodes.
Growing coffee with Vegalab
Coffee rust (Hemileia vastatrix) is the most economically damaging disease in coffee worldwide, defoliating trees and slashing yield, while root-knot and other nematodes weaken the root system.
Vegalab's natural fungicide program targets coffee rust and Nematode Control manages the soil nematodes. Rates follow the registered label.
Coffee rust defoliates, and defoliation is what costs the yield - a tree stripped of leaf area carries less crop the following season as well as this one, so the value of a rust program compounds across years. That argues for protecting clean leaf before the wet period rather than reacting to the first pustules, since by the time rust is visible the cycle is already running. Root-knot and other nematodes work on the same tree from below, weakening the root system that has to carry it through the next bearing year, which is why the program pairs a foliar and a soil component.

Frequently asked questions
What controls coffee rust naturally?
Vegalab's natural fungicide program targets coffee rust preventatively; apply from the first sign and through favourable (humid) conditions as part of an integrated program.
Does Vegalab manage nematodes in coffee?
Yes · Nematode Control targets root-knot and parasitic nematodes in the coffee root zone.
