Vegalab Mildew Control

Mildew Control is an all-natural fungicide composed of powerful plant extracts. Applied to leaves and soil, it is effective against powdery mildew and other mildew diseases that are known to significantly reduce crop yields. With a preventative as well as curative effect on crops, Mildew Control deactivates the growth of spores and consequently reverses disease progress.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Mildew Control uses the natural plant extract geraniol as the active ingredient to reach the highest level of efficacy, while greatly reducing the environmental impact of using this product. Mildew Control is a highly amplified and dual nano-encapsulated fungicide which provides growers with immediate and long term control. Mildew Control is tank compatible and has no tanks pH issues.

MODE OF ACTION

Mildew Control has a two-fold effect on crops: preventative and curative. It retards spore germination, germ tube growth, and destroys pathogen cells. Geraniol induces an imbalance in levels of the K+ ions inside the mycelium; this also helps to slow spore germination and mycelium proliferation. It enters the pathogen cell causing cell lysis.

TRIALS

Grape trials in Delano and Bakersfield, California, showed eradication of active mildew and provided 13-15 days of additional control on table grapes. Control of active mildew was 99% kill of all active mildew with no burn.
All clusters were sellable and no destruction to the grape skin was found.

• Effective against Podosphaera fusca, the powdery mildew found on cucumbers, luffas, melons (including watermelons), and squashes (including pumpkins).

• Effective against Podosphaera leucotricha, the powdery mildew that affects both apples and pears.

• Effective against Podosphaera aphanis, the powdery mildew commonly found on rosaceae, such as blackberries, raspberries, and roses.

• Effective against Oidium lycopersicum, the powdery mildew of tomatoes.

• Effective against powdery mildew, ornamental, lawn, turf, vineyards, orchards and row crops
